What's the difference between a proofread and a bilingual revision?
A proofread checks the translated text on its own — fluency, consistency, typos — without comparing it to the original. A bilingual revision checks the translation line-by-line against your source document, which is the only way to catch a meaning problem, not just a wording one.
My translation reads fine to me — do I still need this?
If you don't read the target language yourself, "reads fine" isn't something you can confirm — a proofread or bilingual revision is the only way to know for sure. If you do read it and it reads fine, a lighter proofread is usually enough.
How is this different from Fix My Translation?
